Marie Knittel

Visitation for Marie Knittel we be held Wednesday, October 18 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial way, Lodi CA.

SERVICES

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, October 19 at 11:00 am at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi CA

Melvin Baumbach

August 24, 1923 - October 11, 2017 The son of Lewis and Elizabeth Baumbach, born in Acampo, CA, attended Houston School and graduated from Lodi High School. He was married to Miriam Miller in November of 1946 until her passing in 2012. Mel accepted Christ on March 23, 1958 and was a member of Temple Baptist ever since. Mel had three sons, Garrett (Joann) - Santa Rosa, CA, Robert (Sheila) - Stockton, CA, Lewis - Lodi, CA; seven grandchildren Dustin (Michele), Brooke (Michael), and Matthew (Sarah), Brieanne, Katie, Jacob, and Beau; and six great grandchildren who affectionately called him G-Pa. Mel also has three brothers; Oliver, Paul, and Reuben (deceased). He served as a trustee, deacon, and youth worker for the church, was a member of Gideon International, and was on the Board of Trustees at Live Oak School. He was on multiple agricultural boards such as A.S.C.S., Stabilization Conservation Board (22 years), and the Lafayette Farm Bureau. Mel farmed all his life and was well respected by the farming community. He loved the soil, loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved to golf as much as possible. He served in the Merchant Marines for 2 1/2 years during World War II.

SERVICES

Celebration of Life Service will be November 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi.

INTERMENT

There will be a private burial.

Evelyn Mead

Evelyn Laura Mead, 88, of Lodi passed away Tuesday , October 3, 2017.  Born February 23, 1929 in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of the late Ely and Ruby Townsend. She is survived by her brother Jim (Else) Townsend of Lansdowne, VA, two sons, Richard (Ann) Childress of Avondale, AZ, Billy (Pam) Childress of Phelan, CA and daughter Valerie (Paul) von Elsner of Stockton, CA; three grandchildren, Jason (Kerry) Kandel of Van Nuys, CA, Jake Kandel of L.A., CA and Soabian Childress of Costa Mesa, CA and two great grandchildren, Stevie and Sammy.  Granddogs:  Riley, Daisy, Wilson, Roxie and Nessa.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Barbara Stein and granddaughter Kristen von Elsner.

Evelyn was a 13 year resident of Lodi, CA, moving here from Orange Co., CA where she was in the banking industry for 35 years and later became a volunteer for the CAP police program in Brea for 14 years. She loved animals and enjoyed playing cards and bingo with friends at the Arbor Senior Apartments.

SERVICES

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 inthe Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial park on Hwy 99 and Harney Ln, Lodi CA.

Ann Fagnani

Mrs. Ann Fagnani, 95 of Lodi, got her wings on September 28th, 2017.  She was a former resident of San Mateo. Ann was born in Emeryville, Ca. on

March 9, 1922 and later moved to San Mateo.  She married  the love of her life, Melvin Fagnani, on May 9, 1943.  They had 61 years together untill he passed away on December 2nd 2004. She is survived by her:  Children:  Michele, Deborah, Tamera, and Troy;  Grandchildren  Brent, Danielle, Garett, Christopher, Danya, Michael, Katherine; and two great grandchildren; Donovan, and Zoe.  Ann always wanted to look her best even on her last day.  She enjoyed camping, cooking, sewing, traveling and being with friends and family.  A celebration of life will be held at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Vineyard Chapel 14165 Beckman Rd. Lodi, Ca. 95240 October 21st 2017 at 1:00pm.
