Warrior Dominador Sapelier Roberts, son of the late Alfred Walter Roberts and Esperanza Sapelier Roberts, was born on July 31, 1944 in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, Philippines. He met the love of his life and his wife of 57 years, Freda, at just 14 years old. They married six years later and together had five sons: Warren, Wagner, Warfred, Wayne, and Wesley.
Warrior immigrated to the United States in 1991. He worked in the crabbing industry of Alaska, was employed by numerous companies throughout Stockton, California, and ultimately retired from Hormel Foods in 2009. Warrior’s hobbies included fishing, firing at the gun range, watching Filipino teleseryes, and feasting with family. If there was one thing Warrior was known for, it was his love for music. He played the drums, was owner and DJ of Warrior‘s Music Energy, choreographed line dances, and spent many senior Fridays at the Elks Lodge Stockton Singles Dance Club with his wife and friends.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Freda, of Stockton; his sons and daughters-in-law: Warren & Maricar of Belleville, Ontario, Canada; Wagner & Gilda, Warfred & Elena, Wayne & Lisa, and Wesley & Lucille of Stockton; his 18 grandchildren: Marc, Zsade, Bruze John (BJ), Warfred II, Prince, Tiffany, Wagner Jr., Kimberly, Princess, Leo, Shane, Kate, Kryshna, Mariah, Chelsey, Chloe, Isabel, and Ellery; and his four great grandchildren: Megan, Max, Ben, and another great grandchild coming this July.
Warrior peacefully departed this beautiful life surrounded by his family on March 26, 2023. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
