Raymond Yee

Raymond Suey Yee
September 4, 1937 - September 13, 2024

Raymond Suey Yee, born in San Francisco, passed away peacefully at home in Stockton, California on September 13, 2024.

After graduating high school, Raymond proudly served his country in the Air Force for four years. Upon his return, he embarked on a diverse career path, initially working as an orthodontic technician for a decade. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a partner in a Chinese restaurant and an investor in various business ventures before transitioning to the hospitality industry as a bartender until his retirement.

A lifelong fan of the game, Raymond found joy and camaraderie on the golf course. He was a familiar member at Elkhorn Golf & Country Club and Stockton Golf & Country Club, where he could often be found enjoying rounds with cherished friends and family. But Raymond’s greatest joy was his enduring love story with his high school sweetheart, Mae. Their marriage spanned 68 remarkable years, a testament to their unwavering commitment and devotion.

Remembered for his warm hospitality and infectious sense of humor, Raymond had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and cherished memories.

Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Mae; his son, Randall, and wife, Jayne, along with their children, Dillan, and Kendall; and his daughter, Liette, her husband Michael Castro, and children, Kahlia Kalua, and Harry Kalua III; and great-grandson, Harry Kalua IV. Raymond also leaves behind his loving sisters, Betty Jones, and Carol Romero, and is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Eva Yee, and his brother, Ralph Yee.

In loving memory of James "Jimmy" Curtis, who sadly passed away at age 70 on September 10, 2024, in San Leandro, California.

James loved music, cinema, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He attended Saron Church in Escalon, and previously attended Faith Lutheran in Stockton.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Betty, and his brother, Randy. He is survived by his brother, Roger.

Charlotte Ann Minahan Barbieri

August 5, 1950 - September 7, 2024

Charlotte “Muffin” Minahan-Barbieri, spouse to Paul J. Barbieri passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7th , 2024, at St., Joseph’s Hospital, Stockton, Ca.

Charlotte was born on August 5,1950 in Torrington, CT. Charlotte spent her early years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana which she talked about often. Charlotte’s family eventually moved to Burlingame CA. where she attended St. Catherines School and Mercy High School where she graduated in 1968. She also attended Notre Dame de Namur college in Belmont, CA.

Chalotte was an avid chef and enjoyed preparing all kinds of meals for events in the San Francisco Bay area and Petaluma. Chalotte was also a seasoned Real Estate agent for many years selling properties in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sonoma County. Charlotte also enjoyed traveling, crime shows and at times was known as “Charlock Holmes”. She also enjoyed volunteering for needy families and spending time with her family and especially her two grandsons.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Paul J. Barbieri who she was married to for 34 years. Her son, Timothy “TL” Minahan, daughter in law Desiree and her two grandchildren Jordan and Jaden all from San Mateo. She also leaves behind many good friends and cousins from Ca. and Connecticut.

A celebration of life is being planned for Saturday, October 12 th , 2024, from 1:00 – 6:00 pm at the Petaluma Elks Lodge, 2105 South McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, Ca.

Sharon Carman

July 17, 1949 - September 5, 2024

Sharon Ruth Carman, 75, of Stockton, California, passed away on September 5th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on July 17th in Fresno, California, the daughter of Clyde R. Wilson and Cloie G. Trotter. She graduated from Vista High School in 1967. Sharon was always detail-oriented and hardworking, which helped her earn an accounting degree while raising her children and working full-time.

In 1991, Sharon married the love of her life, Edward Carman Jr., a joyous union that lasted over 30 years. Throughout this time, they embarked on many adventures, from farming walnuts and building a home to traveling the world. Travel was a shared passion they both enjoyed, often with other family members. Sharon’s favorite place to visit was Hawaii, specifically Maui, where she loved to float in the ocean, snorkeling all day.

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward W. Carman Jr. She is survived by her children Maria (Edward) Aldrete, Christopher (Laura) Dendy, and Edward (Angie) Carman III; her grandchildren Elizabeth Dendy, Kathryn (Thomas) Chapman, Christopher Aldrete, Jeannie Carman, Kelly Carman, and Edward Carman IV; and her great-grandchildren Jeremiah Slaughter and Orion Chapman.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on September 23rd, 2024, followed by the service and interment conducted by Chaplain Larry Edge at Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 14165 Beckman Road, Lodi, CA 95240.
