Robert "Bob" Fay Winslow a long time resident of French Camp, was born on May 25, 1931 in Carlton, Washington to Dow and Cora Winslow and brother Donald. Bob has lived in Kings River, Nevada for the last two years. Bob passed peacefully on July 7, 2015 with family present in Reno, Nevada.The Winslow family moved from Washington to California in Bob's youth. Bob attended Stockton High. Bobs greatest love was horses, in his teenage years while the other boys were looking for a fast car, Bob was looking for a good horse. He loved Rodeo and rode saddle bronc and bareback bucking horses, he also enjoyed team roping.
He married Elizabeth Cassidy, they had a son, Robert Dow Winslow. the marriage ended in few years later. He was introduced to Kathleen McGregor Hinds by a mutual friend. They were married a short time later. This marriage lasted 55 years. Bob and Katie had three girls Kristine Fay, Wendy Marie and Lynda Kathleen. They lived in Clements for a short time, moved to Stockton and finally to French Camp and raised their daughters there.
Bob cowboyed at different ranches in Northern California, drove cattle truck, then freight truck, he became a Truck Driver by profession and a Cowboy at Heart.
Bob loved his family, and was always willing to help friends and neighbors, he never met a stranger, and always had a story to tell. He will be greatly missed.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Dow and Cora Winslow, and his wife Katie Winslow. He is survived by brother Donald Winslow, son Robert and Nicole Winslow of Stockton CA, Kristine and Pat Regan of Paicines, CA, Wendy and Martin Muratore of Kings River, NV, and Lynda and Kevin Silveira of Wallowa, OR. Fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
