Doris M. Abernethy, 91 of Lodi passed away at a care home in Folsom, Calif. on Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born August 19, 1923 in Tujunga, Calif.
Doris was a long-time resident of Lodi and enjoyed fishing, traveling and playing bingo at St. Anne’s Hall as well as at LOEL Center. She was also a founding member of the Lodi-Tokay Quilt & Stitch Society. She and her husband George Abernethy were married in 1941 and George passed away in 1986.
Survivors include her son, John (Deborah) Abernethy of Folsom, six grandchildren, James “Ben” Andrew and Alison Abernethy, Michael (Susan), David and John (Valerie) Lassen and one great granddaughter, Samantha.
Her husband and daughter, Karen Jo Lassen, precede her in death.
