George Alford Paxton December 31, 1923 – May 21, 2016
George was the youngest of 5 children born in Modesto, CA to Archie and Mary Paxton. He graduated from Modesto High School in June 1941. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Army as a Motorboat Operator (Combat Engineer) and an M1 Rifle Expert.
He met the love of his life, Lois Lavaroni after meeting on a blind date in San Andreas, CA. They were married in February 1952 in Carson City, NV. He worked as a PBX Repairman for Pacific Bell for 36 years retiring in 1981. George and Lois loved travelling in their RV with their grandchildren and one of their favorite destinations was Pigeon Point. They subsequently bought property in the foothills and spent much time with their family and friends. He was her loving caregiver for many years and will be greatly missed.
George is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois; his daughters: Kathleen (Dennis) Kaeslin, Mary Garcia (Frank McCullough), Sharon (William) Gardner; grandchildren: Kenny (Karina) Garcia, Angela (Vincent II) Reyes, Paul McCullough, Thomas Kaeslin, Michelle Gardner, and Michael Kaeslin. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. His sisters Ruth and Catherine and brothers William and Robert precede him in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi,CA 95240
