Joyce Marker went home to the Lord on June 25, 2016. She was born in 1930 to Tim and Alice Ko, in Hanford, California. Joyce spent her early years in Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno. She married Robert Marker in 1953 and moved over the next 21 years to many different states as well as Taiwan while Bob served in the military. Joyce was a remarkable mom and homemaker with a creative spirit that came alive in her cooking and artwork. In her free time, she painted, sketched, and sewed. And in everything she did, Joyce radiated a powerful faith in Jesus Christ and lived her life serving him. She and Bob settled in Lodi in 1974, spending their retirement years serving in their church, caring for family, and being part of all their grandchildren’s activities. She dearly loved visiting the Northern California coast, and hosting family gatherings and holiday celebrations.
Joyce is survived by her dear husband, Bob; and her children, Lynne, Timothy (Claire), Gail (Frank); grandchildren Jennifer (Morel), Annika (Alex), Brittany, Patrick, Jessica; and great-grandchildren Sophia, Emma and Olivia.
