Sardar Ranjit Singh Chandowalia Dec. 25, 1956 - Oct. 24, 2019 On Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 4:05 am, Sardar Ranjit Singh Chandowalia, loving husband, father of six, grandfather of six, and great grandfather of five, passed away peacefully at the age of 62.
Ranjit was born on December 25, 1956 in Punjab, India. He worked as a dedicated truck driver for 35 years.
Ranjit is preceded in death by his father, Faquir Chand. He is survived by his mother, Jeeto, wife, Meena, and their three children, Mandeep, Karanjit, and Kabir. From his former marriage to Parkash Kaur, he is survived by his daughter, Sandeep Detherage, granddaughter, Ahana, daughters, Gurdev Prakash, Sarojini (Devi) Prakash, along with grandchildren Anish, Ronika, Romita, Rajeev, Saiyug, Fatima (granddaughter in law), Roy (grandson und law), and Ashlyn (granddaughter in law). His great grandchildren are Suraj, Sahana, Esha, Afsana, and Om. Ranjit was the father-in-law of Shui Prakash, Suresh Prakash, and Erik Detherage. Ranjit is also survived by one brother, Des Raj, one sister, Reema Kashitrya, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
SERVICE
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
