In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. On Friday, January 15, 2021, at 22:03, God has taken Jo Moya from this life. He was surrounded by his wife, Lourdes Moya, and his three children, Kristin Moya, Andrew Moya, and George Moya, as he peacefully took his final breath.
By God's grace, Jo lived a very accomplished life despite his infirmities. He consistently and generously shared his wealth, resources, time, expertise, and knowledge, not only with his family, but with the local and international communities. Jo dedicated his life and career to helping and giving to those in need. For over 30 years, he provided acute dialysis services for the Central Valley hospitals. As a long-time Rotarian, Jo, local Rotarians, and local physicians were able to build and supply numerous health care facilities in India and the Philippines, through Rotary International. Additionally, he was a member of numerous other charitable organizations in Stockton, California.
Jo is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lourdes Moya; his children, Kristin Moya, Andrew Moya, and George Moya; his son-in law, Walid Mesallem; his daughters-in-law, Robin Agsao Moya, and Jennifer Fernandez Moya; and his three granddaughters, Kristyn Shay Moya, Kelsey Brooke Moya, and Emily Nadine Moya, whom he lovingly adored. He also leaves behind his mother, Fe Garbanzos, brother, Valiant Vasquez, and sister, Stephanie Vasquez, and numerous other extended family members in the United States and in the Philippines. His love of cooking and joy of bringing people together will be remembered fondly, forevermore.
On January 26, 2021, a Viewing will be held at the Vineyard Chapel, at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi, CA, from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm. A live streaming Celebration of Life Mass will be held for Jo via St. Bernadette's Catholic Church's Facebook, on January 27, 2021, at 10:00am. Additionally, a burial service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi, CA on January 27, 2021, at 11:30am, and is open for the community to attend.
VISITATION
A visitation will be held from 9:00am - 4:00pm on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE
A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.
