Steven Wayne Phillips, 63, passed away at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, California on January 19, 2021. He was born September 5, 1957 in Claremore, Oklahoma to James V. Phillips, Sr. and the late Jorene Phillips-Walker.
Steve was retired from Texas Instruments, but in retirement found his love and passion for being a Zumba Instructor. He also loved his dog Diva, running, travel, Dallas Cowboys & Sooner football, and NASCAR.
Steve was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Steve never met a stranger. He was loved and admired by many. His inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
Along with his wife, Pam Phillips, he is survived by his father James, Sr. and stepmother Blanch C. Phillips of Cushing, OK. Daughters, Stephanie Sheltman and her husband Les of Piedmont, OK and Shauna Phillips of Broken Arrow, OK. Grandchildren who were the light of his life, Paxton and Ava. Stepsisters, Deborah Davis of Broken, Arrow, OK and Mable E. Renko-Cimino of San Antonio, TX. Stepbrother Asa E. Davis of Ponca City, OK. Sisters-in-law, Wendy (Steve) Bowlin of Spring, TX, Shirley Godfrey and Patti Funk of Houston, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Jorene Phillips-Walker. Brothers Michael Ray Phillips and James V. Phillips, Jr.
