William Vukovich

June 16, 1925 - February 22, 2021

William Vukovich, age 95, passed away February 22, 2021 in Stockton, CA. Bill was born June 19, 1925 to Goya and Florence (Baba) Vukovich in Sutter Creek, CA. The family moved to Stockton where Bill, after completing his education in the local schools, was inducted into the U.S. Naval Service, and served from 1943 to 1945. Bill’s parents and siblings (2 sisters and 2 brothers) preceded him in death. He married Ruby (Harmon) on September 3, 1948. Bill was employed by Pacific Bell Phone (A.T. & T.) from 1951 ‘til his retirement in 1982 as an Outside Plant Engineer. After Bill’s retirement, Ruby and

Bill enjoyed many years of travel, taking in the beauty of the United States and parts of Canada. They were married for 63 years ‘til Ruby passed away in 2011. Bill is survived by a sister-in-law, Norma Devlin, a brother-in-law, Tony Martin, and many nieces and nephews. Bill also leaves behind many cousins and friends residing in Montenegro.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10am in the Garden of Holy Family at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, CA. Reception will be held at a later date due to Covid.
