Janice Fitzgerald

Janice Louise Fitzgerald, 59, of Stockton, California passed away Friday, September 3, 2021.

Janice was born in Sacramento, California on April 23, 1962 and grew up in Stockton, attending both Stagg and Tokay High Schools. Her first job was at Victory Fountain at age 14. From then, Janice was a much-loved and requested server at Carmen’s Restaurant, El Rancho Inn for over 30 years, and most recently, Bud’s Seafood. Janice also spent the last 23 years with Lincoln Unified School District, primarily as a librarian, where staff and students adored her. Janice was known for her strong work ethic, sweet smile, generosity and for being a selfless person. Janice held many animals close to her heart, including her late dog Joey and other wild and stray animals. Her primary legacy was her love toward others and being a devout mother and grandmother.

Janice is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley and Darren Sen and Stephanie and Samuel Rincon; three grandchildren, Jeremy Sen, Alexandra Sen and Sammy Rincon; husband, Patrick Fitzgerald; siblings, Chrissy Graves, Thomas Marshall and Stephanie Gaines-Mangas; her beloved dog and two cats, and many other loving friends and family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gayle Henslee; aunt, Joyce Boland; and first husband, Jim Baker.  

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m., at Carson Oaks Community Church – 6509 N. Alturas Avenue, Stockton, CA. The service will also be live-streamed on Carson Oaks Community Church’s YouTube and Facebook webpage.
