Isabel Islas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 20, 2022, at the age of 92. She and Archie Islas, the love of her life, were married in 1949, and spent 73 loving and cherished years together.
Isabel was born and lived in Stockton, California her entire life. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a devoted and loving mother and homemaker while her children attended school. She later worked at Del Monte Cannery for 20 years, until she retired.
Isabel is survived by her husband, Archie, her four children: Sandy Nunez, Harry Islas, Judy (Jose) Alva, Ken Islas, four grandchildren: Sabrina Alva, Alisa (Pedro) Alva Campos, David Nunez, Christina (Pete) Dennehy, and three great grand children: Julissa and Janessa Nunez and Thomas Dennehy.
Services will be private and a Celebration of Life is planned for next year.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
