October 7, 1937 – November 5, 2022
On November 5, 2022, Jack Prestigiovanni surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren passed away at the age of 85. Jack was born October 7, 1937 in Stockton California to Theresa and “Jake” Prestigiovanni. He was big brother to his sister “Joni” who preceded his in death.
Jack served in the Air Force and was stationed at Cooke AFB where he was on active duty from 1954-1958 as an instrument repairman and continued in the reserves until 1962. He worked at AdArt sign Co. in Stockton and was particularly proud of the signs he created for display on the Vegas Strip. Some inclused Treasure Island and the Mirage.
In 1986, Jack married the love of his life, Sharon. Jack and Sharon were partners in life and loved being together. Among other things, he loved camping with his wife and dogs, Jack’s “second love” was fishing! He was a proud member of the California Striped Bass Association and president of the Central Valley Anglers with his best friend Rick, who also preceded him in death.
He frequented the Fisherman’s Friend where he would hang out and tell “fishing stories”. Jack had a smile that warmed your heart and when you heard that one of a kind of laugh, you couldn’t help but smile, too.
After looking at all the photos he took on his phone, it showed just how much love he had in his heart for his family..it also showed the inability to take a good selfie!
Cherokee Memorial is honored to serve the Prestigiovanni family.
