Robin David Richards went to be with his Savior on February 15, 2022, following a bravely fought battle with ALS. Born July 19, 1944, he was 77 years old.
Robin joined the army out of high school during the Vietnam war. He was assigned to Alaska and finally to the Southwest where he felt the climate was more conducive to his good health - a major factor in his having a home built in Pahrump, Nevada where he lived nearly 20 years.
Following his military service, Robin was employed for 20 years as a special delivery postal worker. He earned several awards for safely driving the postal vehicle used on his job.
In his forties, Robin took up running races and marathons for which he won numerous ribbons and trophies.
Robin’s wife, Sandy, and his parents, Vernon and Irene Robinson Richards, as well as his sibling, all preceded him his death. He leaves behind six nieces (Neva, Linda, Deanna, Janella, Chelese and Judy), two nephews (Craig and Mike), and cousins (Emma, Nell, Janet, Carol, Joy, Bill, Helen, Melvin, Phil [Butch], Danell, Carolyn, Judy, Marjorie, Nancy, and Rosalie). Robin was especially grateful, to his niece, Neva, her husband, Sean, and great nephew, Dylan, for the loving care they gave him at their Ripon , California home during his months of declining health. Robin was a beloved son, uncle, and cousin.
