Patricia Crawford

January 14, 1963 - August 25, 2021

Patti’s passing was unexpected for those left behind but God knew it was time and called her home on August 25, 2021 at the age of 58.

Patti was born at California Hospital Los Angeles to Dorothy and Gene Crawford. She was born with a severe congenital heart defect, Transposition of the Great Arteries. At the time of her birth, the medical knowledge and treatment for babies born with her condition was very limited and treatment was not an option. Patti continued to beat the odds and progressed in life. She was the eldest of three children. In 1976, her family moved to Lodi, California, where she attended local school and graduated from Lodi High School Class of 1981. She then went on to attend San Joaquin Delta College and Humphries School of Business, receiving her BS in Accounting. She worked for California Spray Dry in Stockton and Modesto Tallow until she made the decision to go on permanent disability. She moved to Modesto and finally to Oakdale where she resided until her death. Patti was very active with Job’s Daughters International both on a local level, with Lodi and Modesto Bethels and then on a state level, for over 40 years. Patti enjoyed watching, working, and traveling with our dogs as they competed in AKC Hunt Tests. She took a lot of pride in the fruit jam she would make every year. She enjoyed sewing along with crafting.

Patti is survived by her father Gene Crawford of Oakdale, Sister Kathy Crawford of Oakdale, Brother John Crawford of Lodi, Nephew Kenney Crawford (Shelby) of Texas and Niece Kortney Crawford (Zach) of Stockton and their children, Uncle Wally Heimgartner and Aunt Bonnie of Hawaii, Uncle Warren Crawford and Aunt Ophie of San Bruno. She is also survived by her five cousins Shannon, Danny, Charlotte, Reggie and Debbie.

Patti was preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy Crawford, Nana and Papa Walter and Louise Heimgartner, and Grandma and Grandpa Eugene and Helen Crawford.

Rhoda passed peacefully with her husband by her side in Sacramento, CA from a brief illness on August 25, 2021.

She was born July 27,1975 in Stockton, CA to Joseph and Mary Murdock. She lived most of her life in Manteca and Farmington, making friends everywhere she went. She graduated from Escalon High School in 1993 and went to work for In Shape City Health clubs working in the daycare. A short time later, she started her career with Kaiser Permanente in the call center and then spent 20+ years as a Pharmacy Technician. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. She married her sweetheart Mark on February 25,2012 in a private ceremony in Lake Tahoe, CA and became a mother to their angel son Logan on 9/15/2012. She took pride in her divine calling as an Aunt; not only to her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends, but to all the youth who came into her life.

Rhoda enjoyed taking part in family activities and vacations, road trips with her loving husband, taking care of her dogs, ‘sister’ trips, helping others and making sure others knew that she cared for them. She loved teasing her brother, spending time with her dad, or just being with her nieces and nephews who brought her so much joy.

She will forever be remembered for her fun-loving and adventurous spirit, her selfless nature, her strength, and her ability to forgive. She led a beautiful life with a caring soul and will leave a lasting impact on all the lives she touched.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her husband Mark, father Joseph, brother Mason (Amy), husband’s parents Jerry and Ana, brother in law’s Paul and Scott and sister in law’s Jeannette and Lily (David). She also has 6 nephews; Austin (Mollie), Joseph, Mason Wyatt, Jacob, Levi, and Benjamin and 6 nieces; Micah, Rebecca (Josh), Brooke, Eliza, Natalie, and Anna and great nephews; Bentley and William and great niece; Lillie. Our family wouldn’t be complete without her bonus sister Alicia Schott and Family, friends for over 30 years and soul sisters for eternity.

She will be missed by many, many, many friends, and extended family whose lives she touched with her friendship and giving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her son Logan, mother Mary, grandparents Mason and Margie Bybee and Harold and Cecile Murdock.

Ninh Truong Ly

August 25, 1949 - August 20, 2021

Ninh Truong Ly, a Stockton resident for 39 years, passed away at 7:03pm on August 20, 2021, just five days shy of his 72nd birthday. He had some underlying health issues and had been fighting a breakthrough COVID infection.

Ninh and his family came to the US in the early 1980s as part of the waves of “boat people” immigrants escaping Vietnam.

A beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many, he was known to give you advice whether you needed it or not (and most of the time he was right). Ninh treasured and adored his family and was extremely proud of all they had achieved in spite of humble beginnings. He loved photographing family and singing karaoke. He could often be found dominating the microphone on any stage, and was probably a rock star in a previous life.

There are a lifetime of memories that cannot be summarized in short. The family and all who were lucky enough to have been a part of his life will forever miss his illuminating smile and have those memories deeply rooted in their hearts forever.

Ninh is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bao Huynh and their children: Tu Ly (daughter) and her husband Chuong Ma; Thanh Ly (daughter) and her husband, Chris Depner; Nhut Ly (son) and his wife, Ly Phan; Duc Ly (son); and Tony Ly (son).  He also has six grandchildren: Katelynn Ma, Karlena Ma, Kaleb Ma, Landen Ly, Lincoln Ly, and Kylara Depner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, May Van Ly (father) and Sau Thi Tran (mother), and his siblings: Tho Ly (brother), Ba Thi Ly (sister), Dai Ly (brother), Son Ly (brother).

Surviving siblings: Khuong Ly (Bakersfield, CA), Vung Ly (Vietnam), Do Ly (Vietnam),Trinh Ly (Alhambra, CA), Nga Ly (Bacliff, Texas), and Loi Ly (Vietnam).
