Hari Bhardwaj

December 14, 1946 - February 20, 2025

Hari Krishan Bhardwaj, 78, of Stockton, California left this life on February 20, 2025. He will be remembered for his loyalty, faith, work ethic, and enduring pride.

Born on December 14, 1946, in Boparai Kalan, Punjab India, Hari grew up the youngest son of Chanan Ram and Lal Devi Bhardwaj and brother to: Om and Suwarsha.

Hari immigrated to the United States in 1966, where he dreamed of vast and better opportunities for his family. He worked in agriculture at Victoria Island and then moved into retail.

He married Rose Rani Mohan in 1970. They made their life in Stockton and raised a family that included a son, Suman, and two daughters, Reena and Seema.

Hari’s discipline and work ethic was second to none. He was a loyal employee, spending over four decades as a factory worker, providing for his family and achieving the American dream of home ownership, complete with a thriving garden of fruits, vegetables, and an array of roses. And though not a doctor himself, he dispensed proverbs like medicine. He valued honesty and education above all, often relating that knowledge is eternal. He wished for each of his children to achieve higher education beyond his own, which they all went on to do.

Once he retired in 2013, Hari maintained a routine that included daily walks, tending to his yard and garden, and volunteering countless hours at the Shiva Vishnu temple in Stockton.

Hari is survived by his wife, Rose; his children, Suman, Reena, and Seema; son-in-law, Tim Donahoe; and his beloved grandchildren, Priya and Leo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
