Michael Ray McQueen passed away at the age of 66 on September 10, 2015 from a short illness. Born in Hutchinson, Kansas on February 18, 1949 to Gene and Joyce McQueen, Michael worked at Madison Mobile Homes, Triangle Pacific, Fashion Magic, and L&W Cabinets before retiring 4 years ago. He loved spending time with his family and friends- they were very important to him. Michael enjoyed going with his son, Troy to VW shows and model train shows and with his son, Todd, to rock concerts and Nascar races. His passion was his grandson, Troy Jr. , he loved helping him do projects and going to his school activities. Michael loved spending time with his wife, Vicki, from going to garage sales on Saturday mornings to spending quiet evenings at home watching their favorite TV shows together. He loved spending time in his cactus garden, too.Michael is survived by his wife, Vicki, of over 40 years, and their children, Troy (Jessica) McQueen and Todd (Teresa) McQueen, and his dog, Pumpkin. He also leaves behind his “dude”, his grandson Troy McQueen, Jr, and his best friends; brother, Brian (Jacki) McQueen, sister Nancy (Scott) Moffett, and sister Beth (Joe) Preszler. Michael will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and close friends, all of whom loved him for the wonderful person he was. His parents and sister, Mary Diacon, precede him in passing. At Michael’s request, there will be no visitation, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
