Adolph passed away peacefully at his home in Lodi at the age of 80 years old following a 4 year illness. He will be missed by many including his wife Barbara whom he often called Babs, who was the love of his life for over 62 years of marriage. Adolph was born in Thayer, Missouri on April 13, 1935 and passed away on September 18, 2015. He is survived by his wife Barbara George, a daughter, Starr Gonzales and one son, Michael George and wife Linda. Adolph was a grandfather known as Papa to 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He has also survived by 2 sisters Virginia Warn of Kansas and Earline Norris of Kentucky, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Adolph and Barbara married June 20, 1953, and lived a good portion of their lives in the San Joaquin Valley area raising their 2 children Starr and Michael (Mike). Adolph was a truck driver for 39 years with local teamsters 439.
Adolph was a church member for many many years and church deacon. Because of his love for the Lord and his personal relationship, he acknowledged the Lord in music by playing guitar, bass-guitar and piano, and using his voice to give honor and glory to his Heavenly Father.
Adolph has proceeded in death by his parents Henry George and Alpha-Omega and Step-dad Bob Templeton, and 2 brothers Joe George of Missouri and Caraway George of California, and his twin sister Adell Stone of Redbluff, California.
Adolph will be deeply missed by those who dearly loved him. He leaves a legacy and much wisdom and spirit which will live on and be shared by those surviving family members. The family is grateful for the care Adolph received from Community Hospice of Stockton.
