Avery Charles McQueen, 84 of Lodi passed away in his sleep at his home on Monday, February 16, 2015. He was born February 26, 1930 in Lindsey, CA. Avery graduated from Lodi High as part of the class 1948. He served in the U.S. Air Force and in 1950 married Mary Lou. Avery farmed both row crops and grapes. He was proud to serve on the Woodbridge Irrigation District and in his early years was active in Young Farmers. He was also a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Lodi.
Survivors include: daughters, Sheri (David) Silva, Debbie Malone all of Lodi, Kathleen Shires of Stockton, son Michael “Mick” (Jeanette) McQueen of Lodi and eleven grandchildren.
His wife, Mary Lou McQueen and sister, Elsie Babcock precede him in death.
