Mary Maxine Settrini

Maxine passed away in Lodi on March 11, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Ethan and Carma Lewis on April 30, 1922. At the age of 13 Maxine came to California And Resided in Pacific Grove until meeting Alfred who was stationed at The Presidio. After the war ended they started a family in Gilroy.

Maxine loved and enjoyed her family and friends, and had many great memories of family gatherings.

She also enjoyed camping with her sisters and brothers in law, however the fondest activity she enjoyed was bingo and would not miss a chance to play.

In 2010 she and Alfred celebrated 70 years of marriage. Officiating at the celebration was Father Ed Fitz-Henry, whom she referred to as her other grandson. He would often drop everything and come to be by Maxine’s side and often would come all the way from Hollister just to visit her.

Maxine was preceded in death in 2011 by her husband Alfred and leaves behind her three children: Alfred Settrini of Nebraska, Barbara Brown (Bill) of Morgan Hill, Sandy Federico (Vittorio) of Lodi; sisters: Dorothy Settrini of Fresno, Joanne Clement of Stockton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends at Vienna Nursing Home in Lodi, including staff, caregivers, and physical therapists.
