Sharon Lynn Waring, 79 passed away suddenly on June 25, 2015 after battling Interstitial Lung Disease for 2 years. Born December 18, 1935 in Santa Ana, Ca. Sharon graduated from U.C. Davis in 1957, where she met Peter J. Wallace Jr. They were married for 48 years until his passing. They are survived by sons John (Christine) Wallace and Stephen (Toni) Wallace and grandchildren Ashley, Kadie, Kenny and Bernadette. Brother, Chuck (Lorene) Meyer and sister, Roxanne (Jim) Trainor. Sharon raised John and Stephen in Lodi while helping others through her involvement with Junior League and Omega Nu as well as her dedicated service to Dameron Hospital as a Pinstriper. She also learned the Interior Design business and worked in that field for twenty years, primarily at Newfields in Lodi. Sharon was a passionate golfer and as a member of the 18 Hole Ladies Group at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club. She loved playing with her many friends for more than 40 years. She also enjoyed Ladies Club tournaments and playing Twilight Foursomes with Peter and friends. Sharon loved fishing whether it be for trout in the mountain streams and lakes or trolling for stripers in the Delta. She and Peter had wonderful times together….They would hop on their boat the “Loving Doll” where Sharon would brandish her custom rod “Lil Hooker” or head to Fort Bragg for summer salmon fishing. She and Peter traveled to Cabo San Lucas several years where she landed a 155 pound blue marlin without any help. Winter touched her heart and while skiing with Peter and her boys at Kirkwood Meadows, the powdered snow, the clear Sierra streams and lakes became her home away from home. Entertaining was a passion for Sharon and she especially enjoyed planning fantastic dinner parties featuring wild game that Peter, an avid hunter, had brought home. She did it with an unmatched flair while being her gracious self. Sharon and Peter moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1998 and they both enjoyed the desert and their new friends while continuing to play a lot of golf until Peter passed away in 2005. In 2006 Sharon returned to Lodi and her search for adventure continued when in 2007 she was introduced to Clint Waring by mutual friends. They became soul mates from the beginning resulting in their marriage in December 2008. Between spending time at home with family and friends she enjoyed going to Lake Tahoe and of course playing golf at Woodbridge. Clint and Sharon made several east coast trips as well as two European journeys and her favorite was a Greek Isles cruise. Sharon passed away while on vacation in the loving arms of and is survived by Clint. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Salvation Army where Sharon enjoyed serving until her health would no longer allow it. Lodi Corps of the Salvation Army, 525 W.
