Martha Faye Smith, 79, of Stockton, CA passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2019, in Sacramento, CA, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness. Martha was born in Shady Point, Oklahoma, the loving daughter of the late Josephine and William H. Harmon. The Harmon family moved to California, where Martha attended Franklin High School. On Feb. 13, 1959, Martha married her high school sweetheart, James Kenneth Smith, the love of her life. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. Following the passing of her loving husband in June, Martha was left with a broken heart.
Martha is survived by her daughters Karen Lagorio (Richard), Kathy Badue, Kim Sanchez; her 7 grandchildren Melissa Thomas, Courtney, James, and Michael Lagorio, Amanda McCoy, Maria and Vanessa Sanchez; her great-grandson Jiovanni Belmar; her sister-in-laws Lula Calkins (Jack), Joyce Bush, Doris Powers (Mike), and Carolyn Criner (Eddie), and brother-in-law Donald "Pete" Smith. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins in both California and Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; and her beloved in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. James Smith. She will always be remembered by her family and many friends as a loving mother and grandmother, who loved shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful hostess, avid exerciser, and loved to garden. She enjoyed trips to Monterey with friends and visiting Lake Tahoe. The family wishes to thank her loving caregivers, Rachael Cox and Megan Moore.

Friends and family are invited to the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.for visitation Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
SERVICES:
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at 10:00 am in Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
Martha's family request any contributions in her memory be made to the Linden Lions Club, 5041 N. Market St, Linden, CA 95236 or the Linden-Peters Volunteer Fire Department, 17725 E Hwy 26, Linden, CA 95236.
