Juan Martinez Chavez was born January 27th, 1932 and passed away on May 14th, 2019. He was born in Topeka, Kansas. He was proud to serve his country. He also loved collecting junk and taking road trips. he was an agricultural truck driver for 40 years and a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband. He is survived by his seven children, Lydia Holguin (Randy Holguin), Cynthia Chavez, Laura Zurita (Conrad Zurita), Phillip Chavez, John Chavez, Stephanie Mora (Paul Mora), and Jennifer Chavez. His ten loving grandchildren, Melissa Garrido, Christina Schaffer, Celestina Chavez, Dominic Flores, Felipe Chavez, Devina Chavez, Johnathon Rico, Randi Paige Holguin, Anthony Zurita, and Karina Castillo. His five great grandchildren, Nathalia, Joscy, Brooky, Skylar, and Zelah Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother Fernando Chavez and sister Concepcion Lopez, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Victoriano and Panfila Chavez along with his spouse Catherine Chavez.
VISITATION
There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 from 12:00p.m. noon to 1:00p.m. at the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.
SERVICE
There will be a service to follow on Thursday, May 23rd at 1:00p.m. at the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240. The service will conclude at graveside at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.
