Marjorie Renison

June 26, 1953 - August 19, 2020

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Marjorie Eileen Renison peacefully left this life and entered heavenly rest with Jesus Christ, her Savior.

Marjorie was born to Delvin and Frances Ashurst on June 26, 1953 in Brawley, California. She grew up in Imperial Valley, then moved to Stockton where she met David Renison. They married in 1972 and spent nearly 48 wonderful years together, surrounded by their five children and fourteen grandchildren.

She was a faithful Christian and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marjorie loved everyone. Her sweet, unselfish spirit, encouraging words and cheerful smile touched many lives. She was a dedicated homemaker with small children and later worked as a teller for Bank of Stockton. Marjorie was active in her church and she enjoyed cooking, playing board games, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy and she never lost an opportunity to share one of their funny stories or great achievements with others. Marjorie loved to offer support and encouragement to young mothers. She faced every situation with optimism, laughter, prayer, and a deep faith in God.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, David; children, Melanie (Shane) Britt, Jeff (Nikki) Renison, Davina (Tony) Yadon, Alison Renison and Ashley (Ruben) Rodriguez; and grandchildren, Nicolas, Andrew, Dahlia, Shane David, Olivia, Shiloh, Isabella, Gianna, Sierra, Ava, Asher, Harlow, Gideon and Kenna. She is also survived by five of her siblings, Buddy (Shirlee) Ashurst, Carolyn (Lee) Robinson, Dickie (Karin) Ashurst, brother-in-law RL Dennis, Kenneth (Charlotte) Ashurst, Marilyn (Jackie) Loper, sisters-in-law Joanne (Ralph) Gresham, Janet (Jim) Brannon, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Delvin and Frances Ashurst, and sister, Barbara Dennis.

We say good-bye for now to a Godly woman who was dearly loved by her family and friends.
