August 15, 1937 - February 19, 2021
Don was born and raised in Combs, Arkansas in 1937, he moved to California when he was 19 years old after he graduated from St. Paul High School. He enjoyed playing Fast pitch softball, basketball, golf, bowling and going to the gym. He also enjoyed Line and Ballroom dancing with his wife Donna. He was a member of SIRS and Central Church of Christ for 58 years. He loved traveling especially the American Queen Mississippi River Cruises. He made many trips back to Arkansas for family gatherings and to visit family and friends. He was in the insurance business for over 50 years. Don was a man of few words and always stayed busy before his health declined. He also enjoyed the family pets and is missed by Sadie, Molly & Bella.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years Donna Combs, his daughters Denise Combs of Stockton, California, and Diane Wilcox (Greg) of Woodbridge, California; and his Grandsons Dawson Hayre and Haydon Wilcox. Don is also survived by his sisters Wanda Wood and Betty Martin of Fayetteville, Arkansas, his Mother-in-law Tillie Rallios, Sister-in-law Gail Denney, Brother-in-law Larry Denney and nephew Lance Denney.
Don was preceded by his parents Oliver and Mabel Combs of Combs, Arkansas, and his brother Alvin, Olus, Omar, and Melvin Combs.
VISITATION:
A visitation will be held from 10:00AM - 12:00pm on Thursday March 4,2021 at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
SERVICES:
A service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday March 4, 2021 at the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located on 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.
