In Loving Memory of Betty J. Champion,
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Betty, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at home with her family by her side at age 94.
Betty was born on July 24, 1926 in Woodford, OK to Frank and Lottie (Rose) Williford. Betty lived an extraordinary life that spanned the world. Meeting her future husband and best friend Joe Champion in August of 1951 in Stockton, CA and married on January 12, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV.
From this point on Joe and Betty were inseparable, spending the next 69 years at each other’s side. Together they created a successful company that lasted for 20 years, Overseas Marketing Enterprisers where they traveled to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Korea.
Betty also volunteered as an AIDS Counselor at San Joaquin County Health Department, where she was loved and respected for her contributions to the AIDS community.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Frank, her mother, Lottie and son Stephen. She is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Darla (Jeff) Moen, granddaughter, Melissa (Kevin) Corder; grandson Matthew Lewellen; and 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi, CA.
