Betty Ann (Ring) Lee passed away at the age of 89 on January 4, 2022. She was born to Gust and Lydia Ring in Sykeston, North Dakota on March 21, 1932. She was the 7th of 9 children. The family moved to Lodi area when Betty was 10 years old.
Betty lived her life in the Service of People. Her career of many years was in Retail, at many different establishments. After retirement, Betty took on a job of caring for twins, Rhea and Jessica. She then volunteered as a bartender at the Lodge. She was a Lady of the Moose at the Lodi Moose Lodge for 42 years. Betty’s experience in Retail as well as her encouraging and positive spirit served her well in upholding the core value of the Moose organization. Over the years’, she participated in many of the Lodge’s community projects, working with other volunteers, providing encouragement, motivation and being a positive influence in someone’s life. She also organized “parking lot sale” sales of donated items to raise money to help fund the children at Mooseheart.
In later years, Betty loved doing her “Word Search”, Gazing out the window and more than anything else spending time with her Family and Friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Cain (Larrie), son Michael Balliet, Grandchildren, April Cain, Heather Messier (Louis), Dee Gosling, Eric Hartwell (Tonya), Great Grandchildren, Samantha Bauer, Aiden(AJ) Bowles, Dylan Messier, Tayler Hincks, Ashlee Hincks, Rhea Hartwell and Jessica Hartwell, Great Great Grandchildren, Westyn Hincks and Samara Ricci, Brother, Ben Ring, Sisters, Vivian Rostomily and Darlene MacDonald and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Lydia Ring, Sisters, Vera, Dorothy, Eva and brothers, Edwin and Raymond.
SERVICES:
A funeral service will be January 18th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park at the Evergreen Chapel, located at Harney Lane and Highway 99 in Lodi, California.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date at the Lodi Moose Lodge. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Lodi Moose Lodge.
