February 22, 1924 - December 8, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we share that our wonderful mother, Kam Lan (Julia) Lee, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023, in Stockton, California at the age of 99. She was born on February 22, 1924, in Hong Kong to Kwok Leung Hu and Wai Fan Ng, lived through the occupation of Hong Kong during World War II and immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s. She married her beloved husband, Bo Lee, and settled in Stockton where she raised her family. The arrival of her grandchildren brought her much joy as she watched them grow, eventually graduate from college, and saw their lives unfold. Julia lived in Stockton for 70 years.
She is survived by her loving children: Robert Lee (Lisa), Felitia Lee and Danford Lee (Peggy). She was predeceased by her husband, Bo, and her daughter, Nancy Lee. She was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Amanda Lee, Bo Lee, Caroline Lee, Kevin Lee and Allison Opuszynski, and sister of: Kam Yuk Hu, Man Yau Hu, Man Shing Hu (deceased), Man Hing Hu, Kam Ling Hu, Kam Lee (Lily) Hu (deceased) and Man Shiu Hu.
In honor of her memory on Monday, December 18th, a visitation will be held at 9:00am - 11:00am and a service will follow at 11:30am at Cherokee Memorial, 14165 Beckman Road, Lodi, CA. Committal to follow at 2 pm at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 French Camp Road, Manteca, CA.
