Bobby G. Gryder
December 11, 1956 – February 6, 2023
Bobby G. Gryder passed away on February 6, 2023, in Stockton, California at the age of 66. He was born on December 11, 1956, in French Camp, California to Eugene Gryder and Inez Faulkner “Meeks”.
Bobby attended Franklin High School in Stockton where he spent his formative years. He was a man of many interest and enjoyed spending time in nature. Fishing, hunting, and shooting with his brother Richard were among his favorite hobbies. He also loved exploring the mountains and the ocean, and cherished the moments he spent with his family.
Bobby moved to Piggott, Arkansas, and later to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where he resided for several years before moving back to his hometown of Stockton, California. He worked at Harmar Mobility Manufacturer for eight years as an electrical assembler and made many friends among his colleagues.
Bobby is survived by his sister, Lois Pettit; brothers, Tommy Thompson (Faye) and Donald Thompson (Nancy) all of Stockton, California; and sister-in-law, Paula Eddowes of Missouri. He is also survived by his daughter Melissa Gryder (Josh) of Idaho; granddaughter Melisha Tyler of Idaho; nephews Gregory Redman (Tina), Steven Thompson (Cindy), and Brandon Pettit; and nieces Teresa Backovich, Becky Redman, and Khloey Pettit.
He is preceded in death by parents, Eugene Gryder and Inez Faulkner “Meeks,” brother Richard Eddowes; sister Claudine Redman (Sheridan); and nephew Shawn Eddowes.
Bobby will be deeply missed by family and friends. His love for his family and the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.
