Gregory Sinigaglia

September 9, 1978 - September 25, 2023

Gregory Allan Sinigaglia was born on September 9, 1978, in Stockton, CA to Allison and Silvio Sinigaglia. He graduated from Linden High School in 1997 and attended Delta College for two years before transferring to Fresno State. Greg savored every moment of being a Bulldog. His fun, friendly, social nature drew him to Sigma Chi Fraternity in Fall 2000 where he made the best of friends. However, little did Greg know that joining Sigma Chi would lead him straight to the love of his life. In January 2001, Greg met Kristin, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and the rest was history. Greg and Kristin dated throughout college and had the joy of growing in love together. In 2004, Greg graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, Greg went straight to work for Prima Frutta for 19 years. He was a hardworking, dedicated employee and was loved by all of his co-workers; many of whom became lifelong friends. In June 2005, Greg and Kristin were married. Greg was a loving, kind, and patient husband. He made sure Kristin knew the strength of their love. It was immeasurable. Greg and Kristin always knew they wanted children. In 2007 Luca was born and they became parents for the first time. While they loved Luca more than life itself, one son was not enough. They needed three. Greg and Kristin welcomed Nico in 2009, and along came Vince in 2014. Their family of five was complete and the boy fun began! Baseball, basketball, football. The boys did it all. Greg made sure they did it well and with passion and grit. He was always outside with the boys hitting ground balls, playing catch, or shooting hoops. Greg was not just hands on with sports, he was hands on with making sure his boys knew how deeply he loved them. He was extremely proud of Luca, Nico, and Vince. Greg’s children were his entire world and there was nothing he loved more than cheering them on, which he continued to do even in the midst of his illness. While being a family man was Greg’s favorite pastime, he also enjoyed fishing, weightlifting, and woodworking. Greg was an extremely meticulous woodworker who created perfectly hand carved baseball bats and cutting boards. The Sinigaglia Family’s world was changed forever when Greg was diagnosed with a very advanced, devastating cancer five short months ago. Until his very last breath, Greg fought as hard as he could for his wife and boys. Greg did not lose the fight to cancer; he won by gaining his Heavenly Angel wings. On September 25, 2023, Greg passed away peacefully surrounded by the strong love of his family. Greg will be remembered by those who love him as a patient, loving, and kind man who had a generous spirit, infectious smile, and a twinkle in his eyes. He was funny and fun-loving while at the same time as hard working as they come. He was understanding and thoughtful and he loved his family and friends with ferocity. He was a beautiful mix of strong and gentle. Greg was a fighter. He is deeply missed.

Greg is survived by his wife, Kristin Sinigaglia; three sons, Luca, Nico, and Vince; his mother, Allison Sinigaglia; his brother, Jeff (Casey) Sinigaglia; and many other beloved family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Silvio John Sinigaglia, and nephew, Baby John.
