Isabelita S. Custodio, age 84, passed away on November 9, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton.
Lita was born on November 5, 1940 in Bohol, Philippines to Sofia and Simeon Sarabia. She graduated from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. Lita was a dedicated educator, teaching Zoology at Holy Name University. After immigrating to the United States in 1968, Lita worked several jobs. She continued her passion for teaching through being an educator for the Stockton Unified School District, teaching at Edison High School until retirement. Lita made contributions to her community through her membership with the Legionarios del Trabajo and the Filipino American Educators Association of California.
Lita loved to travel, cook, and learn new things. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family and friends, sharing her love of food and travel with others, and doting on her two cats (Oliver and Alexis). Lita was loved by many and embodied the importance of kindness and sensitivity.
Lita will be remembered for her never-ending kindness, generous spirit, infinite wisdom, and her love for life. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and community members. Through them, Lita’s message of kindness and sensitivity to others continues.
SERVICE
Friends and people whose lives were touched by Lita are welcome to attend the service at 10AM on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at Cherokee Memorial Park.
