Pearl Faye Formway, affectionately known as PF, passed away on May 19, 2024, in Stockton, California. Born to Margaret and Staley Loveday on September 30, 1928, in Walland, Tennessee, she was a beacon of light and warmth in the community she dearly loved.
Pearl was a cherished member of the Loveday family. She was a twin and 1 of 10 children. In 1947, she married her beloved Vaughn Formway in a beautiful ceremony in Stockton, California, marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love and devotion.
A graduate of Stockton High School in 1946, Pearl dedicated her years after high school to her loving husband and two daughters, Kathy Johnson (Dennis) and Judy Peebles (Bruce). Later in life, she took the role as Secretary to the Stockton Unified School District. Pearl’s love extended to her five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, who remember her as a nurturing soul, always ready with a comforting word and smile. An avid gardener, lover of puzzles, and an amazing baker, Pearl graced many with her famous pies, especially her Lemon Meringue pie. Her pies were the highlight of many family gatherings, as she enjoyed making pies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also led her walking club at Rio Las Palmas and was a faithful member of Stockton Covenant for years.
