Leland Joseph Marquez, a beloved father, brother, and friend took his last breath on June 1st, 2024 at the age of 63. Surrounded by his daughter and loving family during his final moments, he was known for his kind heart and loving soul. A humorous and charming man who embodied dedication and discipline in all his crafts. Leland was a beacon of patience with an unwavering sense of calmness. He leaves behind a legacy through his eloquent writing, heartfelt novels, and expressive poetry that will forever be cherished. Not only was Leland an artistic writer, but an elegant dancer, whose impeccable movements ranged from ballroom classics to sultry bachata. Leland captivated audiences with every step, sophisticated performances that were visually expressive and emotionally moving. Leland always exuded an aura of sophistication with his trendy hair styles and effortlessly fashionable attire. In his younger years, Leland loved to travel and had a passion for bowling – showcasing his mastery of technique and precision with every powerful delivery, consistently achieving strikes and spares. But, despite all his passions, his greatest love of all is his love for his daughter, Gabriella Marquez – an unconditional love that was admirable and unmeasurable. Leland was a devoted father, a dedicated provider, and a steadfast protector, committed to being the pillar of his family.
Preceded in death by parents Jose Marquez and Leonia Marquez, and siblings George Julius Marquez and Robert Lata Marquez. And survived by his daughter, Gabriella Marquez, and siblings Virginia Rasmussen, Rochelle Cervantes, Leila Marquez, Cylla Boris, Kenneth Marquez, Bobby Marquez, Carm Villanueva, Lilani Enciso, Eugene Marquez, Loraine Marquez, Licelle Mallari, and Michael Dale Marquez. Leland was wholeheartedly loved by his family and will dearly be missed.
VISITATION
A visitation will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
A second visitation will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm with a rosary starting at 5:00pm on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
MASS
Mass will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 215 W. Walnut St Lodi, CA 95240.
