WALTER WAREN FENLEY
1941 - 2024

PINE GROVE-Walter (Walt) Warren Fenley, 83, of 21371 Aqueduct Circle, died peacefully at his home at 12:30 P.M. on July 25, 2024. Born May 20, 1941 in Stockton, CA to Woodrow Wilson Fenley and Mary Louise (Roby) Fenley, he married Patti Dianne (Meyers) on July 5, 1969 in Stockton, CA. Surviving are his wife Patti Fenley; son, Walter Todd (Nichole) Fenley; grandson, Jack Alexander Fenley; granddaughter, Emily Monet Fenley; sister, Susan Miller Fenley (Mike Kraft); nephew Doug (Milagros) McArthur; nephew Jason (Dawna) McArthur; niece, Nancy (McArthur)(Robert) Wyman; niece Penny McArthur; niece, Becky (Jimmy) Dean; niece, Kim (Bobby) Reed; 12 great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nephews. Walt was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Milli (Doug) McArthur; Cathy Reno and Jacquie (Art) Corona.

Walt graduated from Linden High School in 1959 where he was a star athlete and attended Delta College. Walt was a Journeyman electrician working and eventually retiring as a commercial electrician after 49 years. He was in the National Guard from 1963-1969. He worked at John Manville Co., Frito Lay, Simpson Paper and Diamond Dog and Cat Food plant.

Walt was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed travel and supporting his family and friends. He remained active after retirement when he and Patti moved to Pine Grove, chopping wood until 2021. Known as Papa to his grandchildren, Walt will be missed by family and friends.

A private burial will take place at Lodi Cherokee Memorial.
