Maria Garcia Pizano
June 5, 1944 – January 11, 2025
Maria Garcia Pizano passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Lodi, California, at the age of 80. She was born on June 5, 1944, in Casacuarán, Guanajuato, Mexico, to her parents Delfina and Bonifacio Garcia.
In December 1964, Maria married the love of her life, Norberto Pizano. Together, they built a beautiful life and moved to Dunsmuir, California, in 1973. There, Maria lovingly raised her family while Norberto worked on the railroad.
Maria found great joy in gardening, sewing, going for walks, and spending cherished moments with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth and devotion to her family were evident in all that she did.
She was preceded in death by her parents Delfina and Bonifacio Garcia; her beloved husband Norberto Pizano; her sisters Carlotta, Raquel, Lupe, and Catarina; and her son-in-law Jesse Ibarra.
Maria is survived by her sister Margaret Garcia; brother Tino (Belia) Garcia; daughter Patricia Pizano; sons Nolberto Pizano, Raul (Tia) Pizano, Mario (Brittany) Pizano, and Carlos (Alicia) Pizano. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Alexander Ibarra, Andrew Pizano, Jacob Pizano, Margaret Pizano, Olivia Pizano, Pyper Pizano, Nina Pizano, Giuliano Pizano and Mia Pizano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
VISITATION AND MASS
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 27th, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m., at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. A funeral mass will follow on Tuesday, January 28th, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Lodi, California.
Maria’s life was a testament to love and dedication. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
