September 15, 1937 - January 24, 2025
Herman Foreman 87, of Stockton CA passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 24 , 2025 with his family by his side. He was born September 15, 1937, in Point Texas, the son of Bowden and Effie Foreman.
His family moved to Stockton CA when he was a child, he graduated from Stockton High School. He proudly served in the US Army 1960 – 1962 earning 3 stripes during his service. When he returned home in 1962 he resumed his job as a Longshoreman with ILWU Local 54 and later Local 91 where he proudly worked for 61 years. In 1977 Herman married Betty “The Boss” Foreman, they were happily married for nearly 29 years when she passed away in 2006. Since her passing Herman spent a lot of time with his family. His joy was attending his grandchildren’s sports and various family events.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ruth “the boss”, his 3 brothers Bobby, Charles, Bowden “Dwindle” Foreman, and his beloved dog Jordee the poodle. He is survived by his son Michael Foreman (Sarah), his daughter Debra Welker (Rickie). 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister Louise Eddings, numerous nieces, and nephews.
Herman left behind a legacy of love, honor and respect. He was a hard- working man that was very proud of his time in the military, being a longshoreman, and his son Michael.
He will forever be loved and missed.

Services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2025 At Cherokee Memorial Chapel of Flowers. 14165 Beckman Road Lodi, CA 95240.
