October 2, 1951 - January 9, 2025
Cindy was born in San Jose, CA on October 2nd, 1951 and passed on January 9th, 2025 in Stockton, CA at the young age of 73 from a hard fought fifteen year battle with Parkinsons disease.
Cindy was a woman of many talents. She worked in retail sales at the JC Penney company for many years until the birth of her first son. She was an interior designer helping many friends and families in the Morada and Stockton area. She had a keen eye for color and style which showed her skills as a crafter and an artist.
Cindy had a short stint as a T-Ball coach during which time she challenged an experienced coach on the rules, creating a small riff with a gentleman who later became the Majors Little League coach of both of her sons and a close friend of the family. Cindy retired from coaching to manage the snack bar for several years.
Cindy was active in PTA and started a "Student Store" at Morada Middle School which was set up for students to get positive rewards for doing well or advancing their knowledge in classes.
By far, her favorite activity was being a mom, and not just to her two boys, but to all the local kids in the neighborhood. From bribes with Oreos to hugs and praise, she had a strong following. She loved them all.
Cindy had a tender heart for everyone. Her favorite colors were red, white, and blue and for all that they stood for. She was a collector of anything containing hearts, quilts, Longaberger baskets, and anything Christmas. Cindy was a tender hearted soul always ready to volunteer, lend a hand, or design a project. She was one of the sweetest and kindest people to grace the planet.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Richard, mother Marilyn, brother Rick Welde, and precious granddaughter Trinity Grace Preeo. She leaves behind her beloved husband of fifty years Bruce, son Jason, his wife Devon, their children Davis, Hudson, and Stella of Littleton, Colorado, and son Matthew, his children Mallory and Noah of Stockton, California. Also many Scott and Welde cousins, her comfort cat Speedy, and so so many treasured friends.
Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Lulu, Reyna, and Maria for their tenderness and help.
In lieu of flowers she would request donations to KNOCKOUT PARKINSONS, a local 501C-3 boxing and exercise program for people with Parkinsons at 167 N. Commerce St, ste 101, Lodi, CA 95240.
