Franceva Mittie-Monroe Born July 30, 1938 in Fresno California went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2025 in Lodi California after a short illness.

Fran, as she was affectionally known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Earl “Ron” Monroe, Her sisters Marie and Rosie, three children Shirley, Virgil and Susan, six Grandchildren, 10 great Grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Sharon, and brothers Jim, Richard and Charlie.

Fran grew up in the Fresno area and aside from living for 12 years after her retirement in Oregon, she lived in the Lodi/Galt area. She retired after 25years as the office manager at Lodi Tire Servic. For many years she worked part time during tax season at M&M Tax service in Galt, California.

She enjoyed traveling visiting many places that she dreamed from Europe all over North America. She cherished spending time with her family, especially on the many camping trips to coast and mountains with family.

Fran will be remembered for kindness and humor. She loved children and especially loved holding babies. She was to known to buy a teddy bear with windup music box for babies and later bought each of her great-grand children a stuffed elephant with big floppy ears.
