Donald Krueg

March 14, 1933 - May 23, 2024

Don passed away May 23, 2024. Although his spirit was always willing, his challenges continued to grow. His easy-going personality was a blessing to all who knew him.

In 1933 Don was born in Linton, ND to parents John and Lydia Krueg. He moved to Lodi, CA with his family in 1936. Don was a graduate of Lodi High in 1952. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952, and served until 1956. He went on to enjoy a productive career at Pacific Telephone for 35 years. In 1956 Don married Betty Renke. They had 2 children, daughter Kathleen Harreld, and son Steven, who died in 1984.

Don could design anything, build anything, and fix anything. He was known to make the fastest, most unique pinewood derby cars ever! Most of all, though, he was the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather anyone could ask for, sharing his insights and talents whenever and wherever needed most.

Those whose lives he touched will miss him immensely. The family is especially grateful for the team of caregivers with Seva Hospice. They provided Don with loving assistance over the last several months.

Don is survived by his wife Betty of 67 years who lovingly cared for Don this past year, daughter Kathy Harreld (Ken), grandsons Mike Harreld (Stephanie) and Steve Harreld (Nicole) and great-granddaughters Ella and Izzy. He is preceded in death by his beloved son Steve, his parents, and 7 siblings.

Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of Don’s life on June 6 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Lodi, 267 N. Mills Ave.

Patricia Ann Edalgo, the queen of sass, took her final eye roll on May 20, 2024 in Lodi, California surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Patty was a hardheaded woman with an unwavering love for her family. Born on July 26, 1961, Patty’s life was a testament to her unconditional love, stubborn determination, and deep rooted connection to our family.

Patty’s approached every challenge with the tenacity that showed her love for her children. Her love for life, heart of gold, and no nonsense mindset made her a one-of-a-kind force of nature. You always knew where you stood with her because her signature “Patty realism “. Patty’s realistic outlook and practical wisdom has guided many of us through life’s twists and turns.

She was a wonderful cook, she made an unrivaled rice pilaf and an untouchable tater tot casserole. Patty would always make you feel welcome in her home, and as her guest she was sure you were well fed. She welcomed everybody in her house with open arms, warmth and kindness.

Patty walks before her children, John and Chantelle Edalgo, Lacey and Bobby Wilkerson, Trenton Edalgo and Jacob Sasaki. She also walks before her grandchildren, Dylan, Nathan, Logan, and Leon. As well as her partner, Alan Sasaki.

Patty will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and strength. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the cherished memories she leaves behind. In lieu of somber tributes, Patty would have probably preferred a good laugh and a toast in her honor.
