Kenneth Wiebe

December 2, 1947 - May 18, 2022

Kenneth R. Wiebe went to be with his Lord and Savior May 18, 2022, after battling pancreatic cancer 3½ years. Ken was born to Harry and Joanne Wiebe in 1947 in Morris, Manitoba, Canada. The family moved to Calif. in 1949.

Ken graduated from Lodi High School in 1966 and received an AA degree from Delta College. After a 4-year electrical apprenticeship he became a Journeyman Electrician for 10 years before his health forced a change of occupation. He later started his Wiebe Custom Tackle business, where he invented and patented the graphite trigger grip for fishing rods and created the logo “Fear No Fish”. He assembled and sold his Super Sticker rod handle kits and his intricately wrapped custom built rods and flies. He then worked for G. Loomis rods for 28 years and many other misc. outdoor sales companies. He was the sales rep for CA, WA, OR, NV, and HI.

Ken loved to tell the story of how he met his future bride Donna Acker on the School Street drag like in the movie American Graffiti. He was passionate about hockey and played in Roseville & also with the Stockton Old Timers Hockey Club. He earned a black belt in karate and enjoyed hunting & fishing.

Ken attended Temple Baptist Church, now GracePoint, for 72 years. He was involved in a variety of ministries including serving on the elder board, ushering, and helping in the Upward Sports concession stand. He loved and appreciated his supportive Sunday school class and church family.

Ken never compromised his faith in the Lord or his love for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Joanne. He is survived by his wife Donna of 53 years, his brother Gary (Christine) Wiebe, sister Susan (Carl) Wilkerson and numerous nieces & nephews.
