Olimpio S Sisante
December 17, 1939 - January 12, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olimpio (Oly) Sisante on January 12, 2025 in Stockton, California at the age of 85. Born in Tanza Cavite, Philippines, he immigrated to US in 1991. He worked at Goodwill as Donation Attendant, long after he was employed by Centro Mart grocery store as Produce Clerk up until he can no longer perform his duties due to work acquired injury. Oly is preceded in death by his wife, Blecilda Gatchalian Sisante, his parents Mario and Matilda Sisante, his sister Ely and brothers Pacifico & Junior. He is survived by his children Melissa, Almario (Meldy), Melvin and Chie (Gary). Grand children Aldrian, Ariana, Alyanna (Bryce), Mariah, Anson, Allissa (Christian), Amanda (Anthony) and Brandon (Nichole), Great Grand Children Bella, Jaxon, Madison, Emilia, Amelia and Elizabeth, Sisters Evie and Prosy, nieces and nephews.
Oly's life is marked by hard work, dedication and unwavering commitment to his family. He was a pillar of strength and guidance. He always put the needs of others before his own. He was a loving and faithful husband who cherished his wife up to his last breath. He was a constant presence in the lives of his children. He taught them the value of hard work, the importance of family and the joy of living life to the fullest with kindness and humility. As a grandfather, he was a source of wisdom, love and laughter. He spoiled his grandchildren with affection and attention, and they adored him.
Throughout his life, Oly was a dedicated provider to his family amidst a tragic vehicle accident he was involved in where his right eye was heavily damaged and made him legally one eye blind person in 1981, he couldn't continue to run his business as Jeepney Operator and Driver after the accident, but his disability didn't stop him from taking care of his family. He manages to venture into a new self-owned business of raising hogs and selling piglets to the market to generate family income. He is so passionate about what he does, he even gives each young pig a name and talks to them by their names. Alongside with his wife, they also operated/run a Mini Sari-Sari Store (Convenient Store) for supplemental income. He strived to build a better life for his family. He made sure his children get the proper highest education they need to be successful in their lives. His tireless efforts and perseverance inspired those around him.
Oly's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His family and friends will remember him for his kindness, generosity and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Our father, who we called "Papang" will be dearly missed and forever will be remembered in our hearts.
