August 3, 2005 - January 11, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Stephen Ronald Griffen, who left us far too soon at the age of 19, on January 11, 2025. Born on August 3, 2005, Stephen was the beloved son of Tanya and Stephen Griffen. He was a cherished brother to Jacelyn Renwick and Tammy Traverso, a dear brother-in-law to Josh Renwick and Richie Traverso, a proud nephew to many, and a loving grandson to Frank Griffen and Ron Portal. Stephen’s bright light will continue to shine in the hearts of his nephew, Brody Renwick, and his niece, Bella Traverso.
Stephen was a young man full of promise and excitement, looking forward to his future. He had a passion for working alongside his father at the family’s car repair shops, and he dreamed of one day taking over the business. He also had aspirations of following in his father’s footsteps to become a longshoreman. His enthusiasm for life, work, and family was evident to all who knew him. Stephen was a sweet and gentle soul. He was generous with his time and was always willing to help others.
His unexpected passing has left his family heartbroken and devastated. While his time with us was far too short, Stephen’s memory will live on through the love and warmth he brought to his family and friends.
