Miguel Guerrero

November 14, 1947 - May 28, 2023

Miguel Guerrero, age 75, of El Grullo, Jalisco Mexico passed away Sunday May 28, 2023 at his home in Stockton ca, surrounded by his loved ones. Miguel was born in El Agua Dulce, Jalisco on November 14, 1947 to Alberto Guerrero and Maria Santana. He spent his childhood years in El Agua Dulce, Jalisco until he met the love of his life Eva and married her on March 1, 1971. He went on to spend the rest of his life with her. He came to the Untied States in 1983 and began working in the food truck business. 

Miguel was a loving husband, father and grandfather who leaves behind Eva Guerrero (wife of 52 years), Sandra Rodriguez (daughter), Javier Rodriguez(son in law), Alberto Guerrero (son), Alma Guerrero (daughter in law), Juan Sergio Guerrero (son), Claudia Leon (daughter in law), Daniel Guerrero (son), Janet Guerrero (daughter in law), Yovanny Rodriguez (grandson), Carlos Guerrero (grandson), Miguel A. Guerrero (grandson), Alma Lisette Guerrero (granddaughter), Daniel Julian Guerrero (grandson), Zoe Guerrero (granddaughter), Gabriella Guerrero (granddaughter) & Ricardo Guerrero (grandson).

SERVICES:

The visitation for Miguel will be held on Thursday June 15, 2023 from 4:00pm - 7:30pm in the Vineyard Chapel located at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 Beckman Rd. in Lodi, California.

Family is encouraged to use Belle Flowers if they wish to purchase any for the services.

Andrea Ryan

July 2, 1966 - May 24, 2023

Andrea Sue Ryan (Lynch), age 56, of Modesto passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023. Andrea was born in Lodi on July 2, 1966 to David and Shirley Lynch. She spent her childhood years in Lodi, and was a graduate of Lodi High School in 1984. Andrea attended college at Chico State, getting her BA in 1988, and received a Masters in Education from St. Mary’s in Moraga in 1996.

After receiving her BA, Andrea commenced her career as an educator and taught in various schools and locations, including Dublin, Ireland, Hollister, Lodi and Modesto. She also worked as a Catholic School Principal in Portland, Oregon. Her commitment to her students’ success was always evident.

In 1997 she moved to Modesto, California and married her husband Tim Ryan of Limerick, Ireland. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Kellan (22) and Gavin (20). Andrea loved to spend time watching her boys in their various sports/scouting/academic endeavors. She loved camping, and nature in general, and was a huge cat lover. As those who knew her, she also enjoyed the odd gin and tonic and/or socializing with her High School friends (the “Dudes”), her book club friends (the “Squad”) and her Bible Study Group (the “Holy Squad”). Andrea was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and a friend to all who knew her.

In 2016, Andrea was diagnosed with Cancer, which she fought long and valiantly until her death. She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley. Andrea is survived by her husband Tim, her father Dave, sons Kellan and Gavin, her sister Jennifer Lynch (spouse Frank Callanan), niece Gabrielle Callanan and nephew Mac Callanan.

A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday May 30th at 4:00pm at Our Lady of Fatima Church, located at 505 W. Granger Ave, Modesto, CA 95350. The burial will be a private family service. If desired, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.

Virginia Tomasa Ramirez Richards

September 22, 1939 - May 24, 2023

Virginia passed away at Lodi Adventist Memorial Hospital at 1:10 A.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2023. She was born in Herald California on September 22, 1939. She was 83 years old.

Virginia’s family moved to Lodi from Herald when she was 13. She attended Leroy Nichols grade school, Lodi High and Delta College. She was a licensed cosmetologist, and often was manager of Laura’s Beauty Salon in the Medico Dental Building in Stockton. Virginia was an accomplished artist, mainly painting with oils and some pastels. She had exhibits in local banks. She married Ronald J. Richards in 1962. They were married for 60 and 1/2 years. Virginia enjoyed working as a teacher’s aide at Lincoln and Lawrence schools. She was proud of the progress several of the students made in reading.

One son Nathan C. Richards, Granddaughter Nasha Marie Jacques (Ian) and Grandson Garrett Richards. Remaining sibling is Lena Villanueva (Joe) of Stockton.

Predeceased by Father Edward, Mother Maria, Sister Mary Morris (Richard), Brothers Julian, Ted (Mary Sanchez), Philip, Simon (Adele), Felix, Eddie (Sandy Coldani), First born Baby Julian was buried in Corpus Christy Texas. Virginia’s Father was a railroad foreman mostly in Herald CA. Her Mother Maria (Maiden Name Morales) was the strong pillar of a large family. Virginia was very close to niece Susan Marie Morris who died from stomach cancer in 2014. Also niece Abbe Ramirez, nephews Gregory Ramirez (Rachel), and Steven Villanueva. Numerous nieces and nephews in New York State and other eastern states and Truckee California. Brother in Law Jim Richards. Sisters in Law Patricia Richards, Parma Richards and Mary Ann Richards.

Many thanks to nephew Archbishop Joseph Colin Richards of Ohio for the many prayers and Pastor Arnold Stevens of Wevertown for his prayers and support.

Virginia’s Funeral Service will be in the Evergreen Chapel located at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway99 and Harney Lane, Lodi California. 1-209-334-9613.

Linda Faria

March 3, 1944 - May 24, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Ann Faria on May 24, 2023.  She passed peacefully at The Hospice House with her family by her side.

Linda was born in Little Rock Arkansas on March 3, 1944. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1962 and attended Stockton College. 

She met the love of her life, Ronald Faria, when she began working at the John Deere Parts Depot in 1964. Ron may not have known it at the time, but Linda had her sights set on marrying that man!  On February 24, 1968, they tied the knot and so began the groundwork of the Faria family and their wonderful life together.  Linda patiently waited for a child and joyfully welcomed Nicole Renee Faria to the family in 1974.  That same year, Linda, Ron, and Nicole adventurously moved from their home State of California to Illinois where they lived over the next 23 years.

Linda and Ron both retired from John Deere in 1997 and hurried back to their friends and family in California.  After reuniting with her BFFs, (Sandy, Gayle and Andrea), Linda became a member of The Woman’s Club of Lodi (WCL).  She was a dedicated member for 23 years and served as the WCL Treasurer for 16 of those years.

Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who leaves behind Ronald Faria (husband of 55 years), Nicole Renee Faria Ramirez (daughter), Alex Ramirez (son in law), Carson Ramirez (grandson) and Cole Ramirez (grandson).

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Woman’s Club of Lodi, Hospice of San Joaquin, or any charity you feel would honor Linda’s memory.
