Cynthia Preeo

October 2, 1951 - January 9, 2025

Cindy was born in San Jose, CA on October 2nd, 1951 and passed on January 9th, 2025 in Stockton, CA at the young age of 73 from a hard fought fifteen year battle with Parkinsons disease.

Cindy was a woman of many talents. She worked in retail sales at the JC Penney company for many years until the birth of her first son. She was an interior designer helping many friends and families in the Morada and Stockton area. She had a keen eye for color and style which showed her skills as a crafter and an artist.

Cindy had a short stint as a T-Ball coach during which time she challenged an experienced coach on the rules, creating a small riff with a gentleman who later became the Majors Little League coach of both of her sons and a close friend of the family. Cindy retired from coaching to manage the snack bar for several years.

Cindy was active in PTA and started a "Student Store" at Morada Middle School which was set up for students to get positive rewards for doing well or advancing their knowledge in classes.

By far, her favorite activity was being a mom, and not just to her two boys, but to all the local kids in the neighborhood. From bribes with Oreos to hugs and praise, she had a strong following. She loved them all.

Cindy had a tender heart for everyone. Her favorite colors were red, white, and blue and for all that they stood for. She was a collector of anything containing hearts, quilts, Longaberger baskets, and anything Christmas. Cindy was a tender hearted soul always ready to volunteer, lend a hand, or design a project. She was one of the sweetest and kindest people to grace the planet.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father Richard, mother Marilyn, brother Rick Welde, and precious granddaughter Trinity Grace Preeo. She leaves behind her beloved husband of fifty years Bruce, son Jason, his wife Devon, their children Davis, Hudson, and Stella of Littleton, Colorado, and son Matthew, his children Mallory and Noah of Stockton, California. Also many Scott and Welde cousins, her comfort cat Speedy, and so so many treasured friends.

Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Lulu, Reyna, and Maria for their tenderness and help.

In lieu of flowers she would request donations to KNOCKOUT PARKINSONS, a local 501C-3 boxing and exercise program for people with Parkinsons at 167 N. Commerce St, ste 101, Lodi, CA 95240.

Consuelo Ruiz

In Memory of Our Beloved Consuelo Mora Ruiz, 1935-2025

With heavy hearts, the family of Consuelo Mora Ruiz announces her passing from this world on January 7, 2025, in the city of Stockton, California, at the age of 89. Consuelo passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.

Consuelo was born in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico, a place she always held dear in her heart. She was the daughter of Antonio Mora and Esperanza Madrigal. As the eldest of eight siblings, she devoted herself from a young age to helping her family. In 1956, she married Salvador Ruiz, and a few years later, together they made the courageous and difficult decision to emigrate to the United States in search of a better future for their young family.

Consuelo was blessed with many gifts, among them her beautiful voice and love for music, an exceptional talent for sewing and embroidery, and a heart full of compassion and generosity. She was a member of several church choirs, and it was always a magical experience to hear her unmistakable voice echo throughout the church. Likewise, she brightened countless family gatherings and celebrations with her songs.

Her generous spirit led her to keep her home’s doors always open and to make room at her table for anyone who came by. She left us many precious treasures: blankets she lovingly sewed and shirts she embroidered for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and friends.

Consuelo leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, compassion, and strength that transcends generations. She is survived by nine children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings. Her love and teachings will always be a light guiding our paths.

This celebration will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 6:30 PM at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home. In keeping with our dear Consuelo’s wishes, we invite you to wear attire in colors other than mourning hues.

May her soul find eternal rest, accompanied by those loved ones who passed before her.
